Promoting wellness programme concludes in Rama Devi University

Bhubaneswar: A five-day intensive and interactive workshop conducted by Rama Devi Women’s University (RDWU) in Bhubaneswar to promote wellness concluded on Friday.

The programme held since August 5 was a collaborative initiative led by Vice-chancellor of RDWU Prof. Aparajita Chowdhury, organised and supported by the University’s Counselling and Wellness Centre, Internal Quality Assurance Cell and Theosophical Order of Service. It was conducted by Manam Foundation, a not-for-profit mental health organisation based in Odisha working in the area of mental health, a press release said.

The objective of the workshop was to interact with over 200 faculty members and non-teaching employees and generate awareness on mental, emotional and psychological issues while dealing with students and in their respective professional and personal areas.

The sessions were driven with an activity-based interaction with innovative techniques by Chief Therapeutic Counsellor of Manam Foundation Somya Mohapatra. The programme was very well received by faculty members and all stakeholders of RDWU.
