Odisha CM Meets PM Modi In Delhi Ahead Of BJP Govt’s One-Year Bash

New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Saturday.

As per official sources, the Chief Minister met PM Modi after attending the 10th meeting of NITI Aayog governing council held in New Delhi during the day.

“CM of Odisha, Shri @MohanMOdisha, met PM @narendramodi. @CMO_Odisha,” the Prime Minister’s Office posted on X.

During the meeting, the CM expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for his support and vision for Odisha’s development.

“Met Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. Grateful for his unwavering support and inspiring vision for Odisha’s development. We held meaningful discussions on the state’s holistic progress with a strong emphasis on accelerating growth in infrastructure, welfare and employment,” the CM said in a post on X.

The Chief Minister, who is on a four-day visit to Delhi, was understood to have invited Modi to attend the celebrations of one year completion of BJP government in the state.

Sources said Majhi also apprised the Prime Minister about the performance of the state government in the past year. The roadmap for the future was also stated to have been discussed during the meeting.

The CM is also slated to attend the meeting of all NDA chief ministers called by the Prime Minister on Sunday.

Majhi, who arrived in New Delhi on Friday, also met Union Health Minister J P Nadda and held discussion on the need to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in the state, particularly in remote areas. He sought central support to enhance medical infrastructure, expand education opportunities and improve healthcare accessibility in remote areas of the state.

CM’s meetings with PM Modi and Nadda, who is also BJP’s national president, assumed significance as the state government has planned mega celebrations for one year completion of the BJP government in Odisha from June 12. PM Modi Union, Home Minister Amit Shah, Nadda and several other Union ministers are expected to attend the celebrations.

The programmes will showcase the achievements of the BJP government over the past 12 months. Besides, an outreach programme will also be launched during which BJP leaders will contact one crore families across the state and inform them about the government’s achievements.
