Bhubaneswar: In a powerful show of patriotism, over 10,000 women participated in the Sindoor Yatra flagged off by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Master Canteen Square here on Friday.
Saluting the courage of defence forces and the indomitable spirit of womanhood, women from all walks of life including SHG members, police personnel, government officials, students, and community leaders joined the yatra in a vibrant expression of unity and national pride.
The march concluded with floral tributes at the statue of Rama Devi on RD University campus here, honouring Odisha’s rich legacy of women-led movement. Among others, Speaker of Odisha Legislative Assembly Surama Padhi, Deputy CM Prabhati Parida and other senior officials of the state government were present.
