Bhubaneswar: Days after rumoured girlfriend’s death in Bengaluru, Laba Hansda landed in controversy after a man claiming to be his father-in-law alleged that the popular travel vlogger is married and has a daughter.
Controversy has erupted on social media following claims by the person who asserts to be the father-in-law of the well-known travel vlogger. The individual alleges that Laba Hansda is already married and currently lives away from his wife and daughter. The claims are corroborated by Laba Hansda’s family, with his cousin saying, “Laba was married before and has a daughter.”
“Yes, he is married and even has a daughter. He has been married for a long time. His wife is now living in Bhadrak. She is working there and has taken a house on rent. All we know is that he is married and has a daughter. We are unaware of his other relationships,” informed Hansda’s cousin, Budhirai Hansda.
The marriage reportedly took place in Monoharpur, located within the Keonjhar district before Laba had become popular. It is said that Laba’s wife and daughter are currently living and working in Bhadrak, having rented accommodation there.
As per reports, Laba’s ancestral home is in Seleipokhari, in the Sarat area, though most of his family members reside in Bhadrak. Laba is known to visit his native village for short stays whenever he is in his hometown, reports said. On the other hand, Laba Hansda is yet to publicly address the situation.
Meanwhile, Bengaluru HSR Layout Police have booked Laba after his rumoured girlfriend from Bihar and residing in Bengaluru, was found dead. The woman’s brother has alleged that Hansda’s involvement with multiple women resulted in heated arguments and emotional distress that forced her to die by suicide.
Based on his complaint, police registered a case and have launched a probe into the matter.
Meanwhile, Laba Hansda’s sister said that they don’t know anything about the marital status of her brother. “We don’t know anything about his marital status. We are watching some stories from media about him. Following the completion of police investigation and the court verdict, the real truth will be revealed,” said Laba Hansda’s sister.
Notably, before starting his vlogging activities on the internet, Santali youth Laba was working in a roadside eatery as a hotel boy in Baripada town of Mayurbhanj district. He is a native of a tribal village under the Sarat police limits in the district.
