Govt seeks data on PSU appointments in last two years

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has initiated a review of appointments made across the 44 State Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).

In a letter issued by Special Secretary of Public Enterprises Department Lipsa Das, all managing directors and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of the State PSUs have been directed to submit the updated information on appointments made between June 12, 2024 and April 30, 2026.

The directive, marked urgent, follows a communication from the General Administration and Public Grievance (GA & PG) department. The government asked PSUs to provide detailed data in a prescribed format, including the number of appointments made, the positions filled, and vacancies still remaining.

Officials said the move aims to ensure transparency and accountability in recruitment across 44 the State-run enterprises. The departments must also report the number of sanctioned posts, vacant positions, and employee strength, the letter stated.
