CBSE announces Class-X examination results

Bhubaneswar: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday announced the results of the Class 10 board examinations for 2026, with the overall pass percentage standing at 93.70 per cent.

Students who appeared for the exams can access and download their scorecards from the official websites which are results.cbse.nic.in and cbse.gov.in. This year, more than 25 lakh students had registered for the Class 10 examinations.

Continuing the trend, girls outperformed boys by securing a pass percentage of 94.99 per cent, while boys recorded 92.69 per cent.

The examinations were conducted between February 17 and March 11, 2026. As per CBSE guidelines, students must secure a minimum of 33 per cent marks overall to be declared pass in the examination.

In recent years, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has typically announced Class 10 and 12 results in mid-May. Both 2024 and 2025 saw the results being declared on May 13, while in 2023, the Class 10 results were released on May 12. However, in 2022, the announcement was delayed, with results for both classes declared on July 24.

Taking to his X handle (formerly Twitter), Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi congratulated the students who appeared in the class 10 board examination conducted by the CBSE.

“My heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all the students who have appeared for the Class X examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (#CBSE). Regardless of the examination results, let everyone move forward with confidence to shape a new future, remain prepared to face every challenge in life with firm determination, and maintain strong morale. I firmly believe that this continuous effort of the students will enhance the pride of our state as well as our country. I wish everyone a bright future and all-round success in the coming days,” CM Majhi tweeted.
