Biker Dies After Being Run Over By Ama Bus In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A man died after an Ama Bus rammed into the motorcycle he was riding on National Highway (NH)-16 near Rasulgarh flyover in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.

As per preliminary information, the mishap took place near Satsang Vihar in the capital city in the afternoon.

Sources said the biker was on his way to Bhubaneswar from Cuttack when the Ama Bus operating on Route No. 91 reportedly hit his motorcycle from the rear. He reportedly died on the spot.
However, the identity of the deceased person is yet to be ascertained.

The driver of the Ama Bus fled the spot soon after the mishap, reports said. The bus was operating between Biju Patnaik Park in Cuttack and Baramunda Inter-State Bus Terminal (BSABT) in Bhubaneswar,

Several vehicles were stranded on both sides of the NH as some locals staged a road blockade to protest the incident.

Following the incident, a team from Saheed Nagar police station reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
