Dhenkanal: A woman was allegedly beaten to death by her husband following a family dispute at No. 3 Colony under Parjang police station limits in the district today.
According to preliminary information, the deceased woman’s husband, identified as Mithun Nayak, assaulted her repeatedly, resulting in her death. Later, Mithun died by suicide by hanging himself in front of his house.
The exact circumstances leading to the alleged murder and the subsequent suicide have not yet been established. Police are expected to investigate the incident to ascertain the sequence of events and the reason behind the family dispute.
