Puri Jagannath temple Ratna Bhandar inventory dates announced

Puri: The inventory of the Ratna Bhandar in Shree Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri is scheduled to be conducted on August 31 and September 1, it was officially announced on Saturday.

According to Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), the decision was taken keeping in view the various upcoming festivals and rituals at the 12th-century shrine.

These two dates were finalised for the counting of the valuables stored in the temple treasury to ensure that the daily rituals of the deities and devotees are not disrupted, officials said.

The entire inventory process will be carried out strictly in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) approved by the Odisha government. All guidelines and protocols laid down in the SOP will be followed meticulously during the process.

The SJTA has also sought the full cooperation and support of the servitors and devotees for the smooth and successful conduct of the inventory.

The administration has also expressed hope that the process will be conducted smoothly with collective support.
