Balasore: A man and his wife were found dead at their house in Maharudrapur village under the Bahanaga block of Odisha’s Balasore district on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as Paresh Majhi and his wife Rashmirekha Parida. Locals said the two had got married about four years ago and left behind a two-year-old daughter.
As per sources, an argument broke out between the two late on Saturday night over some family issues. Rashmirekha’s family alleged that Paresh killed her and later died by suicide by hanging himself.
On being informed, a police team from Gopalpur visited the spot and recovered the bodies. A scientific team also arrived and started an investigation.
Police have registered a case of unnatural death and sent the bodies to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) at Balasore for post-mortem.
Further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact circumstances that led to the incident.
