Debagada: A 28-year-old youth was allegedly killed and his body burnt at his girlfriend’s house in the Reamal area of Odisha’s Debagada district late Wednesday night.
The deceased has been identified as Silu Ray of Babarakot village.
According to preliminary information, Silu entered his girlfriend’s house under the influence of alcohol, after which a confrontation ensued. The woman’s family members assaulted and killed him before pouring petrol on his body and setting it on fire.
On being informed by locals, Reamal police reached the spot and detained three persons for questioning. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
