Transformative growth under PM Modi’s leadership: CM Majhi

Bhubaneswar: As the Narendra Modi-led central government completes 11 years in office, it marks the milestone with a renewed focus on governance and national development, said Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Tuesday.

Addressing the media in Bhubaneswar ahead of the completion of one year of BJP government in Odisha, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi acknowledged this moment as historic for India, noting how May 26, 2014—the day Narendra Modi first took oath as Prime Minister—has now become a milestone etched in golden letters in Indian political history. This year also marks the first anniversary of the Modi government’s third term, a ‘moment of reflection and renewed commitment’.

In his address, the Odisha Chief Minister praised the Modi government for taking several path-breaking decisions over the past 11 years, which have ‘led to revolutionary changes across the country’. Among the landmark moves, the abrogation of Article 370 was highlighted by the CM as a defining moment in national integration, effectively making Jammu and Kashmir an inseparable part of India in both legal and administrative terms.

Calling it a decade of decisive governance, the Odisha CM stated that the Modi government has set new standards in welfare delivery, infrastructure development, digital transformation, and foreign policy. “These achievements reflect the government’s commitment to building a strong, united, and self-reliant India,” he said.

The press meet concluded with a forward-looking note, emphasising that the next phase of governance will focus on deepening reforms, empowering the poor, and securing India’s global stature. As the Modi government embarks on the second year of its third term, it promises to continue its journey with “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas” as its guiding mantra, said Majhi.

“The country has made tremendous progress. The World Bank report also says that there has been poverty reduction. Many welfare schemes, including Ayushman Bharat and others for farmers, have been successful. The poor were earlier deprived of roti, kapda and makan. Hence, the Modi government undertook several measures in PM Awas, National Education Policy, Jan Dhan Yojana and others, which helped people and brought a positive change,” said CM Majhi.

In the fight against terrorism, PM Narendra Modi launched a massive strike in the form of surgical strikes and the recent Operation Sindoor inside Pakistan. The bold stance against terrorism by India got global support, CM Majhi said, adding that people are now saying that ‘Modi Hai To Mumkin Hai’.
