Subhadra Yojana: 8K beneficiaries re-enrolled after choosing opt-out option, 4th phase of first instalment soon
Bhubaneswar: More than 8,000 individuals have been re-enrolled in the ‘Subhadra’ scheme after mistakenly choosing the ‘Opt Out’ option in the portal, informed the Women and Child Development department on Saturday.
Earlier, the Odisha government had introduced the ‘Opt-in’ option in the Subhadra portal for the eligible beneficiaries who had earlier chosen the ‘Opt Out’ option in the Subhadra Yojana. The new facility was created to provide options to the beneficiaries for re-enrollment into the scheme.
However, over 200,000 applicants have yet to complete their electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) process, potentially jeopardising their prospects to receive the financial assistance under the Subhadra yojana despite being eligible.
Under such circumstances, the authorities have urged all pending participants to get their e-KYC documentation at the nearest public service centre promptly, to avoid any delays in the disbursement of funds.
The first under the fourth phase of the ‘Subhadra’ scheme is scheduled to be released shortly, making timely compliance essential.
Meanwhile, the Odisha cabinet has approved 31st March 2025 as the deadline for registration to avail benefits under the Subhadra Yojana for the financial year 2024-25.
Earlier on December 30, Deputy CM Pravati Parida announced that in 2025, women across Odisha will benefit from the Subhadra Yojana funds on three separate occasions throughout the year.
