Bhubaneswar: Organised by Bhubaneswar-based aspiring grassroot-oriented collective wisdom miner and thinktank All Things Odisha, the monthly discussion platform Odisha Manaska has completed one year and has stepped into its 13th edition on Sunday.
The monthly circle, known for its uniquely curated topical subjects related to Odisha and Odia, and lively discussions among its participants, has touched upon hundreds of people from various walks of life and gathered a lot of praise for such splendid initiative.
The 13th circle organized at the head office of ExtraOdinari and Safe Odisha For Her in Saheed Nagar had an encouraging participation of people from different age groups and professional backgrounds, who were active participants as well as curious seekers. The topic for the session was Independence as a Spectrum: From Personal Freedoms to Collective Rights that enabled each participant to speak from their lived experiences and share their thoughts without being noisy or a nuisance to others, keeping the democratic tradition of Odisha Manaska intact.
The session was conducted by Sandip Bal and Sonali Priyadarsini. Participants included renowned historian and author Anil Dhir, youngsters Akankshita, Anwesha, Pratiksha, Chanchal, Mitra and Swatiswarupa.
The participants shared their views on independence and its various colours and shades; some touching upon the state of personal freedom in the contemporary world while others highlighted the collective rights.
Odisha Manaska, as a physical platform to enable discussions on matters pertaining to Odisha and Identity, and gather collective wisdom, where each individual shares their thoughts, ideas, views and lived experiences, was initiated by All Things Odisha in August 2024.
