Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday inaugurated a national symposium on “Good Governance and Developed Odisha-2036 and 2047” at the Convention Center in Lok Seva Bhawan here on the occasion of the first anniversary of the BJP Government in the State.
The event, attended by Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, featured discussions on key governance and policy strategies essential for Odisha’s long-term transformation.
The conference convened top officials, policymakers, and academicians, including Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, Development Commissioner Anu Garg, and Additional Chief Secretary Surendra Kumar, to assess existing governance frameworks and introduce innovative approaches for state-wide improvements. Experts emphasised the role of technology-driven governance, infrastructure expansion, and agricultural advancements in shaping Odisha’s vision for 2036 and 2047.
Addressing the attendees, Deputy Chief Minister Singh Deo underscored the necessity of policy cohesion, institutional strengthening, and active citizen participation in ensuring sustainable development. The event also saw panel discussions led by Principal Secretaries and Commissioners, focusing on economic progress, public welfare schemes, and future governance models.
As Odisha sets its sights on a more prosperous future, the conference serves as a blueprint for structured policymaking, paving the way for an inclusive and progressive state.
