Bhubaneswar: The National Journalist Welfare Board (NJWB) conferred the prestigious Pradyumna Bal Memorial Award, 2025 upon Pratibha Biswal, who secured the top position in the Master’s in Journalism and Mass Communication program in Rama Devi Women’s University for the year 2024 academic year.
The award was given in the historic Jayadev Bhawan, which was attended by senior journalists, academicians, and media professionals of the entire country. Pratibha was awarded due to her outstanding academic achievement and effort in the media theory and practice. The NJWB applauded her success by saying that Pradyumna Bal Memorial Award encourages aspiring media students to embrace the ideals and ethics pursued by the renowned media journalist Praduman Bal.
Pratibha thanked her mentors in the process of accepting the award and emphasized on the increased responsibility of young journalists in determining a truthful and empathetic media environment. She is presently pursuing her PhD programme in Rama Devi Women’s University on Bhubaneswar as a creative city on the aspects of media and communication.
