Intense Cold To Continue In Odisha For 4 Days Amid Dense Fog Warning

Bhubaneswar: With the return of cold wave after a brief break, most parts of Odisha are likely to experience intense chill over the next four to five days.

In a bulletin, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday that there will be no major change in minimum temperature (night temperature) during the next 4-5 days in the state.

However, dense fog is likely to affect several areas in the state during the next three days. A yellow warning has been issued, indicating dense fog in districts like Sundargarh, Kendrapada, and Jagatsinghpur up to the morning of January 14

Cold wave conditions may prevail in Jharsuguda and Angul on January 14, with similar conditions possible in Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Angul, Jharsuguda, and Khurda on January 15.

Dense fog is also likely in Sundargarh, Puri, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, and Koraput on January 15 morning.

On January 15-16, a yellow warning of dense fog has been issued for the district of Sundargarh. Cold wave conditions are likely to prevail in isolated pockets over districts of Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Angul, Jharsuguda & Khurda during the period.
