Bhubaneswar: A headless body of a man was recovered from the road near Baramunda Bus Stand in Bhubaneswar early on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Hadu Mallik of Khordha. He was a fish trader by profession.
According to locals, the body was spotted lying on the road at around 4 am. They immediately informed the police, following which cops reached the spot and began an investigation.
After examining CCTV footage from nearby spots, police ascertained that he was killed in a road accident. A speeding car hit him while he was crossing the road. The impact was so severe that his head got detached from the body, and he died on the spot.
