Bhubaneswar: Amid the prevailing hot and humid conditions, the day temperature in Odisha is likely to rise further by 2-3 degree Celsius during the next two day, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Monday. The weather agency has also warned of thunderstorm activity for three days.
On May 12, thunderstorm/lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph may occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two in Mayurbhanj, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati and Ganjam districts. Thunderstorm/lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is also likely in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two in Balasore, Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda and Malkangiri.
On May 13, thunderstorm/lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph may occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Balasore and Ganjam.
On May 14, thunderstorm/lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph may occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nuapada and Nabarangpur.
Hot & Humid condition warning has been issued for these following districts till May 16.
