Boy dies after dispute over mobile recharge in Balangir

Balangir: A 14-year-old boy died under mysterious circumstances following a dispute at his home over a mobile phone recharge in Balangir district of Odisha. The incident was reported from Kuliaadar village under Kantabanji police limits.

According to the family, the boy had asked for Rs 300 to recharge his mobile phone. An argument then broke out over the money. Following the dispute, the boy left the house.

He was later found in a critical condition and rushed by family members to the Kantabanji Hospital. However, doctors declared him dead at the hospital.

On receiving information, Kantabanji police reached the spot and began an investigation. The exact circumstances and cause of the boy’s death are yet to be established. Police are examining all aspects of the incident, and further probe is underway.
