Odisha Govt gears up for President-PM visit to Rairangpur on June 20

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Tuesday chaired a high-level meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan here to review arrangements for a high-profile programme scheduled for June 20 in Rairangpur which President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have consented to attend.

The programme is part of the celebration of the completion of two years of the BJP government in the state. It will feature inauguration and foundation stone laying of several important development projects for Odisha, a CMO release said.

It further stated that CM Majhi directed officials to make foolproof security arrangements at the venue, provide adequate facilities for the general public attending the gathering, and ensure sufficient parking infrastructure.

Emphasising the significance of the visit by both the President and the Prime Minister, Majhi instructed officials to pay special attention to every aspect of the organisation so that the programme is conducted seamlessly.

Following his engagements in Odisha, Prime Minister Modi is likely to travel to Kolkata ahead of International Yoga Day on June 21, where he is scheduled to attend a major commemorative event.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Development Commissioner D K Singh, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Hemant Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Shashwat Mishra, and other senior officials.
