Bhubaneswar: In a bid to accelerate the implementation of key development initiatives, Odisha Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja on Tuesday chaired a secretaries’ level meeting at the conference hall in Lok Seva Bhawan.
The discussions focused on giving top priority to extremely urgent projects and important tasks emphasized by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, alongside a comprehensive review of the latest status and progress of schemes announced by the Chief Minister.
The meeting delved into strategies for onboarding various new infrastructure projects onto the “Gati Shakti” platform on a mandatory basis. This integration aims to resolve persistent challenges in project execution, such as land acquisition, approach road connectivity, and ancillary issues, thereby streamlining operations. A dedicated database on project implementation has already been prepared, with emphasis placed on its further refinement, in-depth monitoring of project statuses, and enhanced inter-departmental coordination for effective oversight.
Departmental secretaries were advised to conduct regular monitoring of their respective departments’ high-priority areas and ongoing activities to ensure timely progress. Chief Secretary Ahuja also addressed several other critical agenda items, offering necessary directives and guidance during the deliberations.
The meeting saw participation from key officials, including Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Additional Chief Secretaries Satyabrata Sahoo, Deo Ranjan Kumar Singh, and Surendra Kumar, along with principal secretaries, commissioners, and secretaries from various departments. Their inputs contributed to a collaborative review aimed at bolstering Odisha’s developmental momentum.
