55 police personnel felicitated with DGP Discs for outstanding service

Bhubaneswar: In a special ceremony held at Police Bhawan here on Wednesday, Director General of Police Yogesh Bahadur Khurania felicitated 55 police officers and employees with DGP Discs for their exemplary service, dedication, and outstanding performance.

The medal recipients include Director (SCRB) Avinash Kumar, DIAG (Crime Branch) B. Gangadhar, Brahmapur SP Dr. Shravan Vivek M, Anugola SP Rahul Jain, Nayagada SP Subhendu Kumar Patra, Ganjam SP Harish B.C., Jagatsinghpur SP Ankit Kumar Verma, Nabarangpur SP Kashyap Partha Jagadish, Boudh SP Kuldeep Meena, SDPO R. Udayagiri (Gajapati) Rakesh Kumar Sahu, and Commandant (3rd IRB, Kalinga Nagar) Yakub Khan, along with several Additional SPs, Deputy Commandants, DSPs, Inspectors, Sub‑Inspectors, Assistant Sub‑Inspectors, Havildars, Drivers, and Constables.

The awards, announced earlier on the 91st Odisha Police Foundation Day, recognise exceptional contributions in maintaining law and order and advancing police professionalism across the state.

The DGP Discs symbolise Odisha Police’s commitment to honouring integrity, discipline, and public service — values that continue to define the force’s legacy.

The ceremony was held under the supervision of Additional Director General of Police (Modernisation) Soumendra Priyadarshi.
