Independence Day: Know who will hoist National Flag & where

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will hoist the National Flag in Bhubaneswar on the occasion of Independence Day on Saturday. He is also scheduled to take the salute at the ceremonial parade in the State Capital.

According to official sources, Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo will hoist the Tricolour in Kalahandi, while Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida will preside over the celebrations in Sundargada. Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari will unfurl the flag in Kataka.

Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Minister Rabi Narayan Naik will hoist the flag in Anugola, and School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond in Malkangiri.

Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra is scheduled to hoist the Tricolour in Sambalpur, Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan in Ganjam, Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling in Rayagada, and Commerce and Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena in Kandhamal.`

Housing and Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra will lead the celebrations in Khordha, Labour and ESI Minister Ganesh Ram Singh Khuntia in Puri, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Suryabanshi Suraj in Balangir, Minister Pradeep Bal Samanta in Baleshwar, Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Minister Gokulananda Mallik in Gajapati, and Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain in Koraput.

Revenue Divisinal Commissioners and Collectors will hoist the National Flag in the remaining districts on August 15.
