The Vigilance officials nabbed accused Amin identified as Nirmalendu Kabi for allegedly taking Rs 15,000 from an applicant for preparation of sketch map and to process file for partition of their landed properties and issuance of new ROR.

As per the government rules, the applicant had applied for partition of their land before the competent authority. Unwilling to pay the demanded bribe, the applicant approached Vigilance authorities. Following this, a team of Vigilance nabbed Kabi while taking bribe of Rs 15,000 from the applicant. The entire tainted bribe money has been recovered from the possession of accused Kabi and seized. A case has been registered.
