Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has asked all departments as well as district administrations not to hold any official meeting on Mondays.
The government has declared Monday as a ‘No Meeting Day’ to facilitate grievance hearing by the officials.
The General Administration and Public Grievance Department today sent a letter in this regard to all Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Commissioner-cum-Secretaries, departmental heads and district collectors.
In the letter, the GA&PG Department has asked all departments as well as the district administrations not to hold any official meeting on Mondays so that the senior officers will not face any difficulty in conducting grievance hearing.
According to the GA&PG Department, the government offices across Odisha are conducting grievance hearing sessions on every Monday. It is often noticed that senior officials are facing difficulties in attending grievance hearing sessions due to departmental meetings scheduled for the day.
