Kataka: A major fire broke out at a milk unit in the Jagatpur area of Odisha’s Kataka district on Thursday morning.
According to reports, the fire broke out at the butter warehouse of the milk production facility at around 7 am. Soon after the incident was reported, two teams from the Choudwar Fire Station reached the spot and launched an operation to bring the blaze under control.
Later, another team from the Kataka Fire Station joined the firefighting operation. Five fire tenders and 35 fire personnel, including five officers, were deployed to control the blaze.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Further details regarding the extent of damage and any casualties are awaited.
