TPCODL launches value-added service for power consumers
Bhubaneswar: The TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), a joint venture between Tata Power and Odisha Government, on Saturday launched Value-Added Services as part of its novel initiative, Demand Side Management (DSM), for its customers in the State.
Under this, the TPCODL will offer customers an opportunity to purchase energy-efficient appliances, such as air-conditioners and motors, at a discount, along with extended warranty and doorstep delivery. Additionally, it will also offer a subsidised price for installing Rooftop Solar to its consumers in the Residential/Group Housing Society/Residential Welfare Association category.
The main objective behind this is to optimise the utilisation of services provided by proactively engaging in DSM initiatives.
Inaugurating the programme, Energy Secretary Nikunja Bihari Dhal said energy-efficient electrical goods were the need of the hour to save energy and reduce pollution. He appreciated the efforts of TPCODL for promoting DSM, which was highly essential to reduce carbon emission.
TPCODL CEO M Shenbagam said the initiative will help customers to not only save on their electricity bill, but also conserve energy.
