Bhubaneswar: Senior Odisha cadre IAS officer Ranjana Chopra has been appointed as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs in the rank of Secretary to the Union government.
Chopra, a 1994-batch officer of the Odisha cadre, is among the 14 IAS officers whose appointments have been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
She is now posted as Special Secretary & Financial Adviser, Ministry of Culture and her new appointment as OSD, Ministry of Tribal Affairs will come into effect on October 1, 2025, the official order said.
The officer will take over as Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs vice Vibhu Nayar upon his superannuation October 31, 2025.
Chopra previously served as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Culture Ministry.
