DG-IG Police Conference: PM Modi gets a rousing reception

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday arrived in Odisha for the All India Conference of Director Generals/ Inspector Generals of Police 2024. It is for the first time that the mega event is being held in the state.

Upon his arrival, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was accorded a grand welcome at Bhubaneswar airport. Thousands of people had also gathered on both sides of the road from Bhubaneswar airport and other prominent junctions to have a glimpse of the Prime Minister.

Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval arrived at Bhubaneswar airport for the three-day conference that will delve into various aspects relating to security and other key issues in the country.

Ahead of attending the DG-IGP conference, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the BJP state party office in Bhubaneswar this evening.

As per sources, PM Modi will hold discussions with party MLAs, MPs, senior leaders and core members on various issues apart from discussing key issues concerning Odisha. The meeting is crucial for the state BJP which came to power after dethroning the BJD government by a huge margin in the 2024 elections.
