Cold wave returns to Odisha
Bhubaneswar: After a brief lull, cold wave has returned to the State. Sonepur recorded a minimum of 4.8 degrees Celsius.
Phulbani (5), Titlagarh (6.5), Daringbadi (7.2), Jharsuguda (8.4), Keonjhar (8.8), Koraput (9), Bolangir (9), Sambalpur (9), Bhawanipatna (9.3), Sundargarh (9.5) and Balasore (9.8) also witnessed temperature below 10 degrees Celsius.
While Cuttack recorded a minimum temperature of 10.2 degrees Celsius, Bhubaneswar recorded 11.3 degrees Celsius.
As per prediction by the regional Meteorological department, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Balasore, Sonepur, Boudh, Bolangir and Puri districts will experience a drop in temperature (2 to 3 degrees Celcius) in the next few days.
Similarly, Bhubaneswar will also witness a drop in temperature. Besides, Kandhamal and Koraput districts will be enveloped with thick fog for the next few days.
