Bhubaneswar-bound Rajdhani Express catches fire
Rourkela: Passengers travelling in the New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express had a narrow escape from a disaster after a bogie of the train caught fire today morning near Rourkela.
According to sources, panic gripped after eyewitnesses noticed smoke coming out of the B-7 coach of the train near Tilkanagar, about 8 kms away from Rourkela railway station and they immediately cautioned the authorities following which an alarm was raised.
The train was halted as the railway authorities jumped into action and doused the flames.
It is suspected that the fire might have broken out due to a short circuit inside the coach.
Latest reports claimed that there was no loss of any life or property.
