Another Odisha Minister tests COVID-positive
Bhubaneswar: Many legislators in the State have so far contracted the infection and now Odisha Work, Steel & Mines Minister Prafulla Kumar Mallik tested positive for COVID-19.
Minister Prafulla Kumar Mallik took to his Twitter handle to inform about this. “I have tested positive for COVID-19 and my health condition is stable now,” and urged all those who came in contact with him to get tested. As per the latest report, he is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Besides, 50 MLAs, include Susant Rout (Bhubaneswar-north), Ananta Narayan Jena (Bhubaneswar-central), Bikram Panda (Berhampur), Byomakesh Ray (Chandbali), Soumya Ranjan Patnaik (Khandapada), Pradeep Maharathy (Pipili), Shankar Oram (Biramitrapur), Aditya Madhi (Malkangiri), Women and Child Development Minister Tukuni Sahu, Higher Education Minister Arun Kumar Sahoo and Labour Minister Susanta Singh have contracted the virus.
MPs Suresh Pujari (Bargarh), Manjulata Mandal (Bhadrak) and Ramesh Majhi (Nabarangpur) have also been diagnosed with COVID-19.
