Bhubaneswar: Utkal Visual Art Foundation organised a five-day art exhibition for young and budding artists at Buddha Art Gallery of Odisha Lalit Kala Academy here from 21 to 25 December.
The event was part of a children’s drawing competition and the subsequent art exhibition, which was highly appreciated by the visitors. The art exhibition was inaugurated by Padma Shri Vinod Maharana, a renowned artist in the presence of senior artist Dr. Revati Kant Maharana. The jury of the children’s drawing competition was senior artist Raj Kishore Maharana.
Winners of the competition were presented with trophies and certificates by the guests. The senior artists urged the kids to think beyond competitions and try to create their unique places in the world as artists and thinkers as now-a-days the value of good artists and painters is beyond one’s own comprehension and imagination.
The exhibition was organised by artists Ashok Patnaik, Madhumita Patnaik, Archana Satpathy and Nirupama Sahu. The Foundation runs an academy for art learning with more than 100 students from KG to PG level.
