Bhubaneswar: Three faculty members of the Government Polytechnic in Odisha’s Jajpur district have been suspended on the orders of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi over allegations of indiscipline, arguments and physical altercations.
According to a release issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), those suspended are Nrusimha Charan Behera, Sandeep Mahapatra and P. Aradhana.
On October 26, the three faculty members reportedly engaged in heated arguments, physical fights and other acts of misconduct during a meeting.
The CMO stated that such behaviour was unacceptable from members of the teaching profession, particularly when it occurred during a meeting and in the presence of students.
Chief Minister Majhi has ordered the suspension of the three faculty members and directed the authorities to initiate disciplinary proceedings against them.
