Bhubaneswar: The DAV Public School at Pokhariput here organised a summer camp titled ‘Crafts Haven’ for the students from LKG to Standard-II, providing a perfect platform to ignite the creative urge in the minds of the tiny tots.
The camp, which started on May 4, concluded on Tuesday with participant of more than 80 students who learnt the art of painting, craft making, kinder cooking and many more. The fun-filled sessions were coordinated under the guidance of school principal Bipin Kumar Sahoo and supervisor of the morning session Sanghamitra Satapathy, while teacher Snehaprabha Das coordinated the camp.
“We want to provide the tiny tots a perfect place to unwind and make use of their creative learning process active with these activity-based camps. We have discovered that many kids, who generally keep themselves away from socializing, were doing more activities as they had found a right medium to express themselves,” explained Satapathy.
“Activity-Based Learning (ABL) is a cornerstone of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, aiming to shift Indian education from rote memorization to experiential, inquiry-driven, and enjoyable learning,” she added.
