Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has regularised the services of Junior Teachers (Schematic) with retrospective effect from January 1, 2026.
According to an order issued by the School and Mass Education Department, Junior Teachers (Schematic) engaged during the 2023-24 academic year will be regularised as Assistant Teachers in Level-V(A) of the Elementary cadre.
However, the period of service rendered by these Junior Teachers (Schematic) from the date of their initial joining until December 31, 2025, will be treated as service rendered in a schematic or contractual capacity.
They will not be entitled to claim regular cadre seniority or any consequential benefits of regular service for the aforementioned period.
As per the decision, the Junior Teachers (Schematic) will be entitled to draw the regular pay and other admissible service benefits applicable to Assistant Teachers in Level-V(A) with effect from January 1, 2026.
