Bhubaneswar: A high-level Odisha delegation will visit the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 8 to 11 as part of the State government’s efforts to attract greater investment and boost foreign direct investment (FDI).
Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain said Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will undertake a four-day visit to Dubai, where he is scheduled to participate in a series of programmes aimed at engaging with potential investors. During the visit, the Chief Minister is expected to hold one-to-one meetings with several investors and interact with leaders from different sectors to explore investment opportunities in Odisha.
The government is focusing on bringing more FDI into Odisha and creating an investor-friendly environment, the Industries Minister said. He noted that Odisha has received FDI investments in recent days and expressed confidence that more foreign investments will come to the state in the coming days.
The four-day Dubai programme will include investor interactions, a roadshow and meetings with representatives of various industries. A special programme for the Odia diaspora in the UAE is also scheduled during the visit.
The Odisha government’s UAE outreach is aimed at showcasing the state’s industrial potential, investment opportunities and sector-specific prospects to global investors and encouraging them to set up projects in Odisha.
