Bhubaneswar: National-level sprinter from Odisha Amiya Mallick is all set to marry his longtime companion and physiotherapist, Shweta Venkat Attilli, later this month. The wedding is scheduled for November 22 and will be held in Mumbai, where Shweta’s family resides.
As per reports, Shweta currently serves as the lead physiotherapist at the Sports Science Centre located within the Kalinga Stadium premises in Bhubaneswar. It was during Amiya’s training sessions at the stadium that the two first met. Over time, their friendship strengthened and gradually evolved into a relationship, culminating in their upcoming marriage.
Amiya Mallick, a prominent sprinter who began his athletic career on the Kalinga Stadium track, has represented India in both the 100-metre and 200-metre sprint events. His consistent performances have earned him medals at various national and international competitions, bringing recognition to both the country and the state.
The couple’s wedding marks a new chapter in Amiya’s life, as he continues to balance his professional sporting career with his personal journey ahead.
