Bhadrak: A man allegedly raped his daughter-in-law after giving her sedative-laced food in a village under Bansada police limits in Odisha’s Bhadrak district.
According to the complaint, the accused used to mix a sedative substance in food and give it to her. After she became unconscious, he allegedly raped her. The woman has alleged that the incident took place more than 20 times over a period of time.
Based on her complaint, police arranged for her medical examination, registered a case, and launched an investigation.
Following the complaint, the accused father-in-law, along with the woman’s mother-in-law and husband, reportedly left the house and are currently absconding.
Police said the case has been registered based on the woman’s allegations and an investigation is underway as per law. The exact facts of the case will become clear after the investigation is completed.
