Baleshwar: A major fire broke out at a restaurant near DIC Square in Odisha’s Baleshwar city on Monday morning after an LPG cylinder exploded inside the eatery.
The incident took place at around 10.30 am, following which flames quickly spread to different parts of the restaurant. The restaurant suffered extensive damage in the fire. Some vehicles parked nearby were also damaged after being engulfed by the flames.
Soon after receiving information, three Fire Services team reached the spot and launched an operation to bring the blaze under control. They safely removed another LPG cylinder from the restaurant to prevent a further explosion.
No casualties have been reported so far. The exact extent of property damage will be ascertained after the firefighting operation is completed.
