Koraput: Vehicular movement between Koraput and Borigumma was disrupted after a landslide blocked the road near Ghodadara.
A large portion of soil and debris slid onto the road, covering the road and bringing traffic to a halt. According to information available, the road has remained blocked since Thursday night.
The region has been receiving heavy rainfall under the influence of a depression, raising the risk of landslides in hilly areas.
Rescue and clearance operations are currently underway to remove the debris and restore road connectivity. Authorities are working to clear the road at the earliest and resume vehicular movement.
