Bhubaneswar: Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd, on Thursday met Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo at Kharavel Bhavan here and reiterated the intent to invest in Odisha’s clean energy sector, including the establishment of two power plants with a capacity of 3,000 MW each.
The deliberations also focused on accelerating the deployment of clean energy infrastructure, specifically Pumped Storage Plants (PSP), Solar Power generation, and Nuclear Power projects, to fortify long-term energy security, grid reliability, and sustainable energy development goals in the state.
The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary of Energy Vishal Kumar Dev, Chairman and Managing Director of OPTCL Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma and Managing Director of GRIDCO Satyapriya Rath along with other senior officers from the department.
The Adani Group also extended an invitation to the Deputy Chief Minister to visit their renewable energy projects located in other states.
