Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Saturday visited home appliances brand Haier’s manufacturing facility in Noida. He interacted with company officials & technicians and reviewed the manufacturing processes and systems.
“The visit reflects Odisha’s commitment to fostering industrial growth, strengthening industry collaboration and creating new opportunities for investment, while advancing the State’s vision of a stronger and globally competitive industrial ecosystem,” the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said in a post on X.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Industries Minister Samapd Chandra Swain, Additional Chief Secretary (Industries) Hemant Sharma during his visit to the manufacturing unit.
Formed in 2003, Haier Appliances India Private Limited is a subsidiary of Haier Singapore Investment Holding Pte Ltd. The company began manufacturing in India in 2007 and has a strong presence in the refrigerator, television, and air-conditioner segments. The company operates two units in Greater Noida and Pune.
It may be noted that CM Majhi is on a visit to the national capital to attend an investment roadshow. On Friday, the Chief Minister led the first sector-specific investment roadshow – Odisha Food Pro 2026. Odisha secured investment proposals worth Rs 43,437 crore with the potential to generate over 43,000 jobs at Odisha Food Pro 2026.
