Bhubaneswar: A crucial meeting was held at the State Headquarters of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Bhubaneswar, on Saturday, to discuss key organisational and political issues including SIR and upcoming Rajya Sabha elections.
As per reports, senior leaders including Odisha BJP President Manmohan Samal, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi were present at the meeting. Both Deputy Chief Ministers, along with Ministers, MPs, MLAs, and all party candidates who contested the Assembly elections, also attended the session. In addition, state office bearers and district presidents of the party also joined the meeting.
The first phase of the meeting focused on SIR, where the party is expected to finalise a dedicated outreach programme. As part of this plan, BJP leaders will visit villages and conduct workshops across districts and Assembly constituencies. The aim is to explain to people at the grassroots level why the SIR process is necessary and what benefits it will bring. Party leaders are likely to frame strategies on how to effectively communicate these points to the public.
The detailed programme and strategy regarding SIR are expected to be finalised during the meeting at the state party office.
After the SIR discussions, the focus shifted to the Rajya Sabha elections. BJP leaders held a separate meeting with all party MLAs to discuss the voting process. During the session, MLAs were trained on the voting procedure for the Rajya Sabha election to ensure smooth participation.
