Bhubaneswar: Three persons were killed after a sand-laden Hyva ruck dashed against their motorcycle near Anantapur Square under Pahala area on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar early on Saturday.
While the identities of the victims are yet to be ascertained, the driver of the truck reportedly fled the site after the accident.
According to sources, the three were proceeding to Niali when the accident occurred. The bike was severely damaged, and the three occupants reportedly died on the spot.
After receiving information, a police team rushed to the accident site and sent the bodies to Capital Hospital for post-mortem.
Police are also trying to identify the victims through the bike’s registration number and are investigating the circumstances that led to the accident.
