2. Dense fog causes serial mishaps in Sundargarh

Sundargarh: One person died and two others were injured critically in a series of accidents involving three trucks and a pickup van near Gadaposh Chowk here early on Friday.

The accidents occurred due to low visibility caused by dense fog in the area. At first, two trucks collided head-on. The driver of one of the vehicles died on the spot.

A truck that got stranded following the mishap was then hit by a haiwa truck from behind. Another pickup van, that was trailing haiwa, collided with it injuring two persons.

Police rushed to the spot to regulate the movement of vehicles to avoid further accidents due to dense fog.
